About Us
Caroline and Aschaber LLP is a partnership formed by three Chartered Professional Accountants passionate about accounting. Caroline's focus is on owner-managed businesses, professional corporations and farms, while Aschaber specializes in auditing and assurance engagements. This partnership made them eager to cultivate their firm, which would effectively intersect their expertise with their respective interests.
Caroline and Aschaber LLP opened its doors in Collingwood in 2020 with plans to continue growing and serving the greater south Georgian Bay area. As of January 2023 Caroline and Aschaber LLP has expanded to a second location in Thornbury.

PARTNER
Kristine Caroline CPA, CA, H.BBA
Kristine graduated from Laurentian University with cum laude in Honours Bachelor of Business Administration focusing in accounting. Kristine articled with a large international firm, wrote her CA exams passed, and then started to pursue her next designation. Kristine was introduced to Collingwood in 2013, fell in love with it, and moved here that same year. While working in Collingwood at a local firm she continued to develop her areas of expertise and she developed a passion for certain sectors of accounting and tax, most notably farming, professional corporations, and owner managed businesses.
Kristine has also been a facilitator for CPA Ontario and CPA Canada for the past 6 years, teaching students in various accounting courses and marking the professional final examinations.
Outside of work Kristine grew up riding horses, and represented Canada on a junior national dressage team. Horses would take her around the world learning about travel, care, and training of these large extraordinary animals. Another passion Kristine has outside of accounting is mission work. Kristine has been on 5 missions around the world working on various medical and dental teams in third world countries. This has taught Kristine about humanity and about the poverty stricken countries that, otherwise she may not have fully comprehended, had she not immersed herself in their daily lives for weeks at a time. Horses and mission work although vastly different, they have had a big impact in shaping Kristine to who she is today.
On a personal level Kristine and her husband have 2 young children and you can normally find Kristine at the barn with her daughter, teaching her how to ride horses, or at the hockey arena watching her son develop his goalie skills.

Ryan Aschaber CPA, CA, B.B.A.
Ryan completed his Bachelor of Business Administration undergraduate degree with a Major in Finance at St. Francis Xavier University and holds a Chartered Professional Accountant Designation. After graduating, Ryan worked as a Financial Services Specialist at TD Canada Trust and Barclays Bank in the United Kingdom. Ryan has worked with various accounting firms within Ontario and enjoys meeting new people, hearing their stories and offering his support and expertise to achieve their financial goals. Ryan's accounting experience includes working with individuals, businesses, not-for-profit organizations and municipal clients.
Ryan enjoys all the activities that the Georgian Bay area has to offer, including hiking, skiing, hockey, and skating. On the weekends, you can find him with his wife and dog hiking the many trails of Simcoe-Grey County.

Alan McPherson CPA, C.A, B.A
Alan completed his Bachelor of Arts undergraduate degree with a Major in Economics and minors in Finance and Accounting at Wilfrid Laurier University. After graduating, Alan worked at Arthur Andersen & Co. in Mississauga where he became a Chartered Accountant and now holds a Chartered Professional Accountant designation. Alan spent 20 years working in industry with leadership roles within telecom and food manufacturing businesses. In 2016, Alan started his own accounting and tax practice in Collingwood and has concentrated on helping owner operated businesses achieve their goals ever since.
Alan enjoys the lifestyle offered in the Collingwood area and spends his free time hiking the trails with his wife, motorcycling the rural roads, paddling the waterways and skiing. Alan has volunteered with various organizations and is currently the Treasurer of the Beaver Valley Bruce Trail Club.
